Should we have to be tormented by the Exponents anymore? Surely the NZRU want to increase crowd attendances?
It’s just too much hearing Why does love do this to me? every time rugby is on telly. It’s been a great decade of NZ music, so let’s hear some of it.
The music played at rugby matches around the country makes you think you’re at a 1970’s rugby club reunion.
Let’s move on Steve.
A sample of the dreary playlist:
STOP! No more!
What other drab do you hear around rugby stadiums in NZ?
Thank goodness there’s an alternative, and we can atleast turn the sound down at home.
This is one of the coolest and also one of the cleverest music videos i’ve ever seen…
Sellaband might just be the new approach to revenue generating needed in the ailing music industry, but for bands and their fans directly. It’s great to see technology shaking the proverbial tree in this industry.
How Sellaband.com works is that you check out a whole bunch of bands and choose that which you like. You then pay $10 to a band via sellaband, they take that $10, and once it’s totalled $50,000 (due to 4,999 other people liking them aswell) they record an album. If they go big, you share in any royalties.
Another cool thing about Sellaband is that they call that particular section of their users that invest in the bands Believers rather than the drab term users. Cool!
I’m playing drums for Molecula on tuesday night at the Valve (Vivian Street). We’ll be on at 10pmish.
On Guitar will be Geoff duncan.
The front man is Paulo Dias, my portugese brother in law. Molecula is his project. It’s pretty out there and definitely original. Should be interesting.

Here is a blast from the past. This is a video of our teenage band called Housebeat. We played mid-nineties hip-hop in our ‘own’ way. You might see me on the drums. The clip is from the final of the teen band competition at CTC in the Michael Fowler Centre a few years back. 1994?? Geez, time flies… anyone remember this? ;^/
